PLASTIC MAN by Patrick Stiles

Once a year, I draw something for the Twart, make excuses for why I don't like it, e-mail the other Twartists to thank them for being patient, and tell them that I am rededicating myself to my illustration. As you can see from the drawing above, it's that time of year again.

See you next year!

~Patrick

Just joking. I'm totally trying to get into the habit of this- Twarting, not the lame jokes. I can't think of a better way to whip myself back into good form than posting alongside the host of incredibly talented artists on this blog.

THE ROCKETEER by Patrick Stiles

This one is going to have to remain pretty sketchy. There's no time to finish it in grand fashion, this week, but I'll ink and re-post it later. The entire piece included a burning German fighter in the background, but my scanner decided it didn't like it. I think I have a picture of the preliminary pencils on Twitpic.

I don't have a whole lot of time here, so I just want to note that everyone's Rocketeers have been fantastic. If I get a chance to jump on the individual posts and say so, then I'll I do it, but time is at a premium right now.

Zorro- Patrick Stiles

I'm humbled to be a Twart, especially after seeing the great contributions from the artists here. Thanks for the invite, Chris! Thanks to Mitches Breitweiser and Gerads for their encouragement.

About my own contribution: I've never inked digitally before, and I likely won't for future Twarts- not until I get the hang of it. I'm posting my preliminary sketches since they possess a quality that the digital final is lacking. I aim to redeem myself next week (if the Twarts will keep me around). Thanks to all!
