ALFRED HITCHCOCK by Urbanbarbarian

I remember staying up late with my parents and watching Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" on television and being absolutely terrified. Birds are such lovely and gentle creatures, right? Wow, I had it all wrong...! [ click on the image to enlarge, if such a thing pleases you ]
UPDATE: Okay, I couldn't resist whipping up another one. Hope you dig it!

Nick Fury by Urban Barbarian

Man, it's been awhile! Sorry about that Twartists! I've been swamped with work but I've been loving these art posts! Simply amazing and inspiring! That said, I must issue an apology for this illustration. It hardly compares to those below. Still.... How can a man NOT draw Nick Fury? I blame all of you.

BELIT by Urbanbarbarian

Since Belit was my choice for the week, I'm glad I snuck in my illustration before Monday! Obviously I modeled my version after the great John Buscema's design. Hard to improve on a master like him! Thanks to all the Twartists for contributing! Even my motorcycle had a personalized Belit license plate, so I really got a kick out of seeing everyone's artistry! A better week I could not ask for!

TORPEDO by Urban Barbarian

My take on this cover by Jordi Bernet - not nearly as cool, mainly because Bernet's version rocks and I didn't show his gun... But in the right hands, a newspaper can be used as, um, well - reading material, I suppose. Click on the image to enlarge ( if you dare! ) Cheers!

Zorro - Urban Barbarian

Sorry I'm a bit late on this but everyone looks like they're having so much fun I had to chime in. Better late than never, right...? I hope so. Anyways, thanks again for inviting me into your talented fold!
This is my cartoony version of a character that I enjoyed on television and because of Alex Toth's iconic illustrated tales. I really enjoyed both for different reasons! One as a child and the other as an envious artist!
