BLACK BEETLE by Dan McDaid

Francesco - you have created a SERIOUSLY cool character. Loved drawing this guy :)

Edited to add: I just uploaded a slightly higher-contrast one, cos the first one looked a bit wishy-washy. And I thought you cats might dig this mono version!

Agreeing with Mike here, GREAT idea, Dan. Fantastic inks as always, and I love the subtle color palette.

Damn, guys, you make me want to wrap up Kara Bocek asap so I can get on other stories inspired by your illustrations :)
Great page, Dan, love the composition, the calm before the tempest vibe of it, the colors, and the caption: all works together so harmoniously (is that a word?) :)
And by all means, if you want to draw more BB, I am not gonna stop you :D

Thank you, Dan :)

Cheers,
Francesco

Thanks, fellas!

Andy, it's a bit weird how much my style changes when I'm using a tablet and PS - it's kind of spindlier, more wiry. It's not deliberate - it just happens that way! Anyway, thanks again, man.

Love how you're a bit of a chameleon when it comes to rendering each new character, Dan.

Excellent and evocative interpretation.

I agree with Tom. The inks on this just shine in the b/w version! Sweet!

And I totally want a Black Beetle BigLittle Book.
