G.I. ROBOT by Chris Samnee

Thanks for a really great subject this week, Mr. Fowler!
Drawing a robot and dinosaurs made me feel like a kid again :D

For any of you folks that aren't quite as nerdy as most of us twartists, here's a link to G.I. Robot's Wikipedia page.

Also, the pencils and line work for this piece can be seen over on my blog.

I love this Chris! So much so that mine is almost exactly like it!! I started inks on it last night, and you're gonna be shocked at how similar they are.

Anyway, this is awesome! Came out really great.

That dino is fantastic! Love the prehistoric-looking environment resplendent with a sinister serenity. Well done!

I heard that this is how the Land Before Time series ends. Way to not give a spoiler alert, Samnee. Sheesh.

How do you take such a pulpy character and set-up and make it so beautifully melancholy? :)

Gorgeous stuff, Chris.

Masterful composition and masterful drawing. I love how you rendered the scaly dinosaur skin and how you managed to make him readable.
