BELIT by Ron Salas

I guess I didn't get the jump on this after all. Oh well. At least it's not late.

I know the standard depiction of Belit is with the fur one-piece but I don't really like outfit so I went with a different approach. This outift is equally nonsensical for a pirate queen as the fur dress but it makes more sense to me. You guys be the judge.

Looks great, man.

The outfit is not a problem. Truth be told the original description of her dress was as follows: "Her only garment was a broad silken girdle."

So, technically, we can draw her naked from the waist down and still be accurate.

Don't tempt me ;)

Really? So I accidentally drew her accurately? ;)

Great angle on this, Ron, I totally get her pirat-esqe side here :D

Cheers,
Francesco

Damn. Ron ('Mr. Composition') does it again. Great decision to bleed-out the detail at the bottom. Always have to remind myself to be that brave.

Thanks guys!

Francesco - I totally f'ed up the perspective on this but I didn't want to back and figure it out so I just inked it as it is.

Thanks Dan!

Dec - haha Thanks. I wanted to keep it organic so I didn't want to have those sharp corners leading to me bleeding out that detail. Plus, it's easier to hint at the idea that there's more stuff there than to actually draw them.
