Between these two pics we get both sides of Ben's character - the "clobbering time" guy and the "this man... this monster" guy. I'm glad we're getting to see both - very cool.

the whole time i was doing it i was debating whether or not the pipe was too much. i'm glad now that i left it in. reed's just such a pipey guy.

Dan hit the nail on the head for the color close-up, it taps that "This Man...This Monster" story really well.

But that shot of Reed and Ben really captures their character well too. Great inks on Ben.

These are so great, Tom. I love them both, but there's something so fun about the one with Reed and Ben. It reminds me of the way Ben was portrayed in the What The?! comics of old, a kind of brilliant meld of Marvel and Mad Magazine. Just incredible cartooning right there, sir!
