LONE WOLF AND CUB by Mitch Gerads

Best Father/Son Work Day Ever!

Another one of those hugely influential books for me. Much like Nexus, I remember the Frank Miller reprint books lying around my brother's bedroom, so obviously "2nd Grader + Samurais + Blood= flipped through every single one of them."

Like the minimal inks on this. Evokes the spirit of Goseki Kojima's art very well

Wow, that is nice! I love: the use of white in this one to create shapes, the thin little streaks which convey how hard the wind is blowing, the barely visible building in the background, the scraggly looking trees, the jagged edged border which adds to the rough/tough feel, and the blood spatters which nicely punctuate what is already a great image.

This is awesome, Mitch! Way to kick off a great week with a cool character. Love the use of spot color (no pun intended)!
