SANDMAN by Andy Kuhn

I'm a big fan of Jack Kirby's short lived 1974 Sandman series.
My idea for this drawing was - what if Kirby was the artist on
Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. I'm not sure I pulled it off,
but I sure had fun trying! Thanks for looking.

Great 'What If?' motif, I think you nailed it. Looks like it was a lot of fun to do.

This is great, Andy! Great idea and design.

Nicely done, though it looks a tad more like Erik Larsen than Jack Kirby... ;-)

Very nice!!! Works for me!

If the actual comic had looked like this at the time, I'd have bought it, instead of reading it in Dark Horizons and putting it back on the shelf again.

Looks like Dream is ready to kick your mind's ass! Fantastic.

At the time Gaiman's Sandman came out, if he had looked like this I probably would have read it!

HA! The amazing thing is that the superhero version totally works in your drawing :D
