CAPTAIN MARVEL by Ron Salas

I've always liked Capt. Marvel, even more than Superman. Always thought he had the greatest premise for a superhero ever. Always thought his costume design was better.
As I grew older I still maintained this belief. But now it's bolstered by my love of mythology. Because Capt. Marvel at his essence is a character powered by myth.

hopefully one day someone will write the character so he's not a one dimensional cardboard cutout and play off duality of billy and captain marvel and put a struggle in there.

I like your approach. Great piece.

Thanks guys!

TheDave - one thing about the current Captain Marvel that I don't like is making Cap and Billy the same person. I think one of the cool things about the character is that they are two separate individuals. I hope DC brings this back in the future.

This should be the cover for a Cap relaunch, FOR SERIOUS! Man DC angers me with what they've done to nearly ALL their great WHOLESOME characters.

Absolutely amazing execution and an even better composition.

I know! It's almost criminal what they had done to the Marvel Family.

Thanks man.
