"What if" I wanted to draw a team book? I'd want to draw this one. Nothing high concept here. Just wanted to put my favorite versions of some of my favorite Marvel characters into the Avengers, and have them lead by Nick Fury, who would make a kick-ass leader of any group! And yes, Beast is now a member of S.H.I.E.L.D - he's a joiner! :)
EDIT: Fellow Twartist Nathan Fairbairn colored this guy up for me. Amazing work, Nathan! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! :D

love the cover chris - but that icon of nick in the corner is spectacular in it's simplicity. you can just take that and blow it up for the next twart ;P

Brilliant work. From composition, rendering and colouring (both versions). The colours are so perfect. You can imagine this in a Myler bag from the 60s.
