Retro Luke Cage & Iron Fist by Urban Barbarian

I already posted this on DA but this would be my dream book right now! This is some Teaser Art for a Retro Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daughters of the Dragon limited series for Marvel Comics. [ with Sabretooth and Dazzler, co-starring! ] We're talking late 1970's Cage and Fist here! Of course I would have to sneak Shang Chi into a panel or two - maybe Stallone style, a'la Staying Alive...

WHAT IF: PUNISHER VS DAREDEVIL by Declan Shalvey

It's no secret i'm a huge Daredevil fan, and a Punisher fan too, so instead of picking one of them for this week, I thought a Punisher vs Daredevil mini-series would be a project i'd love to draw for Marvel. Something like 'Daredevil is on the run from the relentless hunter that is the Punisher'. The characters do not like each other, so I think there's a lot of conflict that could arise. Of course, it's probably been done a million times before, but dammit: ***I*** want to do it.

Ideally; written by Garth Ennis and coloured by Matt Hollingsworth! But hell: Fellow Twart Nathan Fairbain did a fantastic job colouring this piece, so i'd gladly take him and *anyone* who would write it.

You can see the black-and-white version I did on my own blog.

WHAT IF: THE AVENGERS by Francesco Francavilla

When we decided to do a "what if" Marvel cover week, I had several ideas. I had some "what if" moments already in the past twarts (remember Ben Grimm P.I.? ;)) but for this little Twart event I thought to dust off an old idea/pitch of mine for a MARVEL what if.
So I give you, for the first time I think, Hulk the Druid (a celtic primeval force of nature), Captain Amerigo (from the New World), Thor himself, and an unknown mysterious clad-armored gladiator known as Iron Man . Tigether they are The AVENGERS, EARTH's FIRST HEROES and they fight evils and undead armies. How does that sound? :)
Hope you guys dig it and stay tuned for the color version of this I will be posting next week (way too many deadlines this week ;))

EDIT: WOW, this concept (and image) is all over the Web and everyone is excited about the possibilities of such tale. Thank you all, I will see if I can make it happen at MARVEL again - maybe all this warm response will help ;)
I know I had said I was gonna color the cover (and still plan to) but because of time and schedule restrictions, I decided to do a quick sketch of THOR the first Avenger, just becuase Viking Gods on a horse on the snow are too cool :D

One little note: I know the cover is going around as "AVengers in the 1500s" but I had envisioned this to be more in a fictional/fantasy middle age - I apologize for tricking you in believing that is set in the 1500s because of the Capt Amerigo (he is not Vespucci but he could be his grand-grand-father ;))

Cheers,
Francesco

The X-Men by Mr. Hawthorne

Week One - The X-men

I had planned on painting this, but ran out of time. This week is spoken for work wise, so I'm just going to post the pencils. If I have more time I'll try to ink this piece.

I have something else planned for week two of our "What if Comic Twart ran Marvel?" theme. So stay tuned.

Mike

PS - After I started this I realized that I forgot Beast! So, here's a small piece I did for a fan a few weeks back.
