TARZAN by Andy Kuhn

Here's my Tarzan drawing.
Now I'm off to the Phoenix Comicon
to sketch, and sign for the peoples.
Thanks for looking!

I'm a big fan of Tarzan in books and comics ( The covers Neal Adams did for the Ballantine editions in the mid-70s are burned into my brain.)

I love this image, particularly, for some reason, the trailing right hand and the recoiling vine. To use a Hogarth term, its "dynamic."

Cool and amazing. Your use of shadows once again is incredibly appealing to my eyes. I love how they (the shadows, not my eyes) obscure some details and create hints of the unseen within and beyond the frame at the same time.

Love that swing, Andy, and I am in awe with that vegetation silhuetted there in the upper corner :D

Cheers,

I love the design in this one. Geat use of spotted blacks and I really love how you designed the leaves and branches.

I couldn't possibly like this any more, Andy. GREAT design, really bold inks, another favorite of your work for sure.
