ASTERIX by Evan Shaner

Preparing for this week's theme I went and picked up a bunch of Asterix books from the library, one of them being Asterix and Cleopatra. Considering that they both had a book set in Egypt I thought I'd try to connect my piece this week to last week's Tintin theme. Of course, chronologically this doesn't make any sense, but I thought it'd be fun to see the other side of the pillar from the Tintin piece. Above is the Asterix side by itself, which stands along okay, but was set up mostly in reaction to Tintin.

I merged the two, but I can't seem to post a nice quality version of it here because of the layout restrictions. Feel free to check it out at this link-- Tintin meets Asterix.

I had a blast learning about these characters, another great pick, Tom!

WOW, I thought the Tintin "sketch" was Amazing, but now with the Asterix one and how you made the connect so well, I'm blown away. Great Job! Keep up the good work sir!

Thanks guys! We'll see what next week's theme is, I think I could only pull off one more week of this nonsense at best.

Not sure if you can do a triptic with next week topic I am thinkng of, but if you do, my hat is off to you ;)
Meanwhile my hat is off to you for the genius idea to make "sequential" art out of this week and last week themes :)
LOVE IT!

Cheers,
Francesco
