Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima became a part of my consciousnesses thanks to Dark Horse Comics and my affection for Frank Miller's work. Everyone is inspired by someone/something and Frank showed us some of his. I'm grateful.

Great pick, Dan! I'm a big fan of the book. Thought I would do something a bit different with the inks this week and went a bit looser and brushier. Hope ya dig it!

Another one of those hugely influential books for me. Much like Nexus, I remember the Frank Miller reprint books lying around my brother's bedroom, so obviously "2nd Grader + Samurais + Blood= flipped through every single one of them."

My idea for this drawing was - what if Kirby was the artist on

Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. I'm not sure I pulled it off,
